Arsenal’s 2022/23 midseason awards: Best player, best performance & more

Best Player: Thomas Partey – Extremely difficult to pick one player but Partey is one that is so influential to this side because whenever he doesn’t play there’s a huge difference and that’s what big players do.
Best Performance: Brentford 0-3 Arsenal – One of those games you look back on and remember a confident and dominant display away from home, to a side and ground that had brought back bad memories.
Biggest Surprise: The Emirates – There have always been times when it’s been a good atmosphere but this season, the Emirates has truly become a place where teams fear to come. A big shoutout to the Ashburton Army!
Biggest Disappointment: Not signing another player in the summer – Even though Arsenal are top of the league, there’s always a thought in the back of my mind if Arsenal did go out and purchase another player (or players) who is on a level that can challenge Partey or Bukayo Saka, maybe that Old Trafford defeat or draw at St Mary’s could’ve been something different.
Overall Grade: A – Five points clear. Only three teams have failed to win the league from this point. It could be written in the stars, so let’s hope the stars align for Arsenal and Arteta.
