Who are Arsenal playing over the festive period?
The 2022 World Cup knockout stages are well underway but, more importantly, the scent of Premier League football is growing stronger by the day.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will soon return to the training ground before flying out to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp. Games against Lyon and AC Milan have also been scheduled, with the Emirates hosting a friendly against Juventus on 17 December.
The Gunners will be back on our screens in no time!
The Premier League, meanwhile, makes its return on Boxing Day in what’s a far tamer domestic festive schedule for the Gunners this time around.
Their exit from the Carabao Cup means they won’t have to play a fourth-round tie just after the World Cup final, with Arsenal playing just two more games before the end of 2022.

Will Gabriel Jesus be fit for the festive fixtures?
Gabriel Jesus has been ruled out of the 2022 World Cup after picking up a knee injury. The striker’s believed to have carried the issue into the tournament and it’s unclear at this stage exactly how long he’ll be out of action.
Initial reports suggested he’ll miss the Gunners’ festive fixtures and return in the new year, but then the possibility of surgery arose.
Jesus has returned to London and will undergo further checks before a final decision is made over whether to undergo surgery or not. The worst-case scenario is a three-month absence, but it’s unlikely that Jesus will play over the festive period even if his injury isn’t deemed to be too bad.
