While the victory in April was impressive but surprising, many foreshadowed this triumph at Chelsea in November. Graham Potter’s Blues were no match for Mikel’s well-oiled machine as the table-topping Gunners produced their most convincing away performance at a ‘Big Six’ side under the Spaniard’s stewardship to date.
Sure, the margin of victory was slim, but this was an emphatic Arsenal victory. The visitors completely stifled the albeit depleted hosts and asserted control on the contest from the outset before Gabriel grabbed the winner from a Saka set piece midway through the second half.
This was an utterly dominant performance.
