2. He’s really fast, like, really fast

Mudryk has come on leaps and bounds over the past 12 months to develop into a player courted by Europe’s elite. The 21-year-old’s stellar Champions League group stage campaign, in which he notched five goal contributions in six games, has played a major role in his recent value hike.

During the summer, Mudryk was being discussed as a potential €30m option for several Premier League clubs.

His sample size at the highest level is still rather small, but it’s easy to gauge what sort of profile the Ukrainian is. Mudryk’s a speed demon, he excels when attacking space and is incredibly tough to stop in transition – as the likes of Celtic and RB Leipzig found out in the autumn. The Ukrainian was the joint-fastest player in the group stages with a top speed of 36.6 km/hr (level with Ousmane Dembele).

It’s his ability to reach this top speed from a standing start that has rendered him such an exciting and valuable asset.
