There’s no doubt that Mudryk is an incredibly raw talent. Sure, there are things to love about his game and, no, he’s not a mere pace merchant, but he’s far from the finished article and Arsenal would certainly be taking a risk by spending a large sum of money on the 21-year-old.

But who are we to question Edu and co?

Since taking over as technical director, Edu has barely put a foot wrong when it comes to making big-money signings. The likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale, and Martin Odegaard have all been brought to the club under the Brazilian’s wise eye. As it stands, the only major Edu signing that’s yet to impress is Fabio Vieira and his Arsenal career is only months old!

Mudryk may not possess the experience, let alone the Premier League know-how, of some of those listed above, but my point is that we shouldn’t doubt Arteta and Edu in terms of identifying players that are destined to thrive within the Spaniard’s framework.
