3. How do Arsenal stack up against City?

If the last meeting between the two is anything to go by, then Arsenal will be in this fight up to its eyeballs.

In the 2-1 defeat at the Emirates in January 2022, the Gunners were the better side. Unfortunately, the red card to Gabriel Magalhaes in the 59th minute, just two minutes after City converted a penalty, dashed any hope.

The Gunners were on home turf, and the last time at the Etihad, it was a 5-0 thumping as Arsenal fielded a back five that consisted of Sead Kolasinac, Cedric, and Calum Chambers. Yikes.

Granit Xhaka was given his marching orders in the 35th minute as Arsenal registered just one shot on goal and had just 19% possession.

Things are vastly different now.
