Sean Dyche’s Everton is the last thing Arsenal supporters want to think about right now, but the Gunners will take on the Toffees at home before the 2022/23 season’s up.

The Premier League leaders were scheduled to take on what was then Frank Lampard’s side last September before the fixture was postponed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. All 10 Premier League matches were called off on the weekend succeeding her death and have been rearranged to take place at various points during the second half of the season.

Several of the postponed matches are already in the books, and we learned on Tuesday afternoon when Arsenal will be taking on Everton at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta will have the chance to inflict revenge on the Toffees in a couple of weeks. Arsenal have confirmed that the home clash against Everton will now take place on Wednesday 1 March with kick-off scheduled for 19:45 (BST).

Unfortunately, the game will not be televised on TV in the UK as that initially wasn’t the case back in September.

The rearranged clash kicks off what’s poised to be a busy March for Arsenal with the Europa League also returning. The Gunners visit Leicester before taking on Everton at the Emirates and will play host to Bournemouth the following weekend.

Arteta will want a fit and healthy squad for the run-in, and the Spaniard could have Gabriel Jesus back at his disposal by the time this rearranged clash rolls around. The Brazilian was pictured running last week as he steps up his recovery from a long-term knee injury.

While Eddie Nketiah has filled in ably in his absence, Jesus had a transformative impact on those around him before the World Cup. Gabriel Martinelli, in particular, hasn’t quite looked the same with Jesus sidelined.
