VAR again at the center of controversy

This is a common theme for most Premier League clubs lately, VAR getting decisions wrong. While at first glance, Ivan Toney’s goal appeared to be just that, startling revelations post-game have thrown the game into chaos.

Per James Sharpe of Daily Mail, VAR Lee Mason forgot to draw offside lines of Toney’s equalizer as there was a hint of offside.

What’s worse, had he drawn them, the striker’s goal would have been canceled out due to offside. It could have huge ramifications on the title race, and if Arsenal succumbs to City by a point or two, we will definitely revisit this.
