Midfielders

Xhaka (CM) 6.5 – The Swiss international was hardly noticeable in the Gunners midfield, but he wasn’t alone. Failed to get into the game.

Partey (CM) 6.5 – Did his bit in the heart of Arsenal’s midfield, but as was often the case, ran out of ideas in the final third as Brentford’s shape and structure forced him into other avenues.

Odegaard (CAM) 7.0 – The skipper was pulling the strings for his side, but often to no avail. Tried to get his team going and was busy in and around the box.
