Arsenal vs Man City preview: How to watch on TV, live stream, team news & prediction
The Premier League’s top two lock horns on Wednesday night as Man City take on Arsenal at the Emirates in what’s been billed as an early title decider.
The Gunners, who had been nothing short of imperious up until the start of February, have hit a blip at just the wrong time. Mikel Arteta’s side are winless in three in all competitions with their lead at the top of the table being trimmed to just three points heading into Wednesday’s game.
Arteta is yet to defeat Pep Guardiola in the league since he left his post as City’s assistant manager in 2019. Now would be the perfect time to grab his first.
While it’s been far from plain sailing for the Citizens as of late, Guardiola’s side were at their menacing best in the opening 45 minutes against Aston Villa on Sunday in an eventual 3-1 win.
Guardiola is still trying to discover the optimal formula with Erling Haaland leading the line, but there’s no doubt they’ll be in it until the last this term.

Arsenal team news
Emile Smith Rowe remains an injury concern but he could make Arteta’s matchday squad. A start is still some time away, however.
Mohamed Elneny is sidelined for the hosts with Gabriel Jesus poised to return to action in March.
Arteta isn’t likely to make many changes to his team considering the enormity of Wednesday’s game, but many fans are pushing for Leandro Trossard to be given the nod over Gabriel Martinelli down the left.
Man City team news
Haaland was forced off at half-time in City’s win over Villa on Sunday, but Guardiola hinted post-match that this measure was merely precautionary. Thus, it’s likely that the Norwegian superstar will start on Wednesday.
Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez are poised to flank Haaland with Rodri surely returning to the base of midfield despite John Stones’ continued absence. Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte could continue in defence alongside Kyle Walker.

Prediction
The FA Cup tie between these two sides was surely a watered-down iteration of what we’ll see on Wednesday night. It’s poised to be a chess match between two managers who go about winning football matches with the same control and swagger.
Arsenal’s ability to assert superiority and sustain pressure has escaped them in recent weeks, and they’ll find it difficult to do so against the champions on Wednesday. Although, that might not necessarily be a bad thing. City are there to be got at in transition.
It was a nervy atmosphere at the Emirates on Saturday, and supporters can ill-afford to create such as tense ambience under the lights in this one. The place has got to be rocking, as it’s so often been this season.
It’s a tough one to call with there being very little to separate the two sides. City’s away form isn’t great, but they’ll pick up a point – which I think they’ll be content with – on Wednesday.
Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Man City
