Substitutes

Partey – 7/10:

Party came on for the second half to replace Jorginho. The Rolls Royce midfielder took a while to start his engine, but once he got going, his dominant presence in the Arsenal midfield returned. Although he did not get a goal or assist, he took charge of the midfield, created chances, and defended excellently.

Vieira 6/10:

Fabio Vieira made a positive impact on the game coming on for Trossard. He has received little playing time but played with intent—a solid appearance from the Portuguese signing.

Nketiah – 7/10:

Nketiah has been moved back to the bench for the last two games. The striker has now given Arteta a headache. Eddie came on and looked dangerous, almost converting a Thomas Partey through ball. However, he did grab himself a lovely assist that Martinelli put away to kill the game.

Smith Rowe 5/10:

Arsenal’s number 10 came on today for the final minutes. He looked fit, but, most importantly, he was eager. I am sure he will be competing for his spot back in the starting 11 in no time.

Tierney 5/10:

The Scottish left-back came on for the last few minutes also. Zinchenko has been playing at an unbelievably high level leaving Tierney out of the team. A solid defensive appearance should see Tierney start some games soon.
