2. Right winger

Arsenal currently have a right winger in Bukayo Saka who is not half bad. As even rival fans would admit, he is in fact one of the best, if not the best, right winger in the world. This comes at a cost. With such clear talent, Saka must start every game he can.

He can single-handedly change games and is an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s setup, but he’s playing an extortionate number of games.

A backup is thus sorely needed. Arsenal’s starboy is only 21 and having another option to rotate with him and share the minutes is crucial. Playing extreme minutes and taking the punishment he does every game could lead to injury woes further down the line. While he has been durable throughout his senior career thus far, there is no point in taking unnecessary risks with a world-class player.

There is also the matter of form. Although this could be attributed to the aforementioned usage and physical toll, Saka has been less effective than usual in certain games. Having a capable player off the bench to rotate with Saka could take Arsenal to another level.
