It’s been a disappointing title defence for Milan over in Italy and they could slip out of the Champions League unless they stage a resurgence to close out the campaign.

Several problems have contributed to their demise this season, with one of them being the failure of Charles De Katelaere to integrate after joining from Club Brugge last summer. While the Belgian is not a centre forward by trade, he was meant to take some of the goalscoring burden off the likes of Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao.

Thus, it’s been a goal-shy campaign for the Rossoneri, and while Giroud continues to remain serviceable, Milan have got to think about a succession plan. Divock Origi isn’t it. Balogun could be that guy.

Their progression in the Champions League means they might be able to facilitate a move for the young forward this summer.
