Why Gabriel Jesus deserves to start

With that being said, my personal choice would be Jesus. The Brazilian boasts a similar skillset to Trossard but possesses greater tenacity and embodies the Arteta style perfectly. He has a unique ability to create chances out of situations which seem unresourceful and help drive the team up the pitch with his powerful dribbling. Away from home, that could be even more useful in order to relieve any potential pressure the defence comes under.

Jesus may not be the most prolific goalscorer, but given his brace against Leeds United, he will likely be full of confidence and eager to add to his tally in this game. The striker has plenty of experience competing against Liverpool and knows how to beat them, something which not many of our current squad can say.

Ultimately, Arteta brought in players such as Jesus to help instil a winning mentality into the squad for games of this calibre, and his presence could be vital in us securing the three points in this match.
