Arsenal’s top five goals against West Ham

4. Alexis Sanchez: 3rd December 2016, London Stadium
Another night when Arsenal beat West Ham 5-1, this time on their first trip to the London Stadium.
After providing an open goal for Mesut Ozil to open the scoring, Alexis continued to torture West Ham, and eventually sealed a 14-minute hat-trick in the second half, with his third goal arguably the pick of the bunch.
With VAR it may well have been ruled out, but it wasn’t, so we can sit back and admire this audacious finish.
3. Dennis Bergkamp: 6 February 1999, Upton Park
Dennis Bergkamp is a man known for his graceful presence, sublime touch and exquisite vision, but rarely gets remembered for his ball-carrying ability.
24 years ago, when he was at his absolute pomp, West Ham got a full view of it, as he beat two players and ran from the halfway line to slot home. It may not be the most eye-catching, but what makes this goal so good is the ease with which the Dutchman did something that is seen so rarely in football. A true football genius.
