2. Samuel Chukwueze

Arsenal have been connected with Samuel Chukwueze since the player was 16 years old, and the rumours haven’t slowed down much since. Unlike the fees being mentioned for Diaby, Chukwueze may be available for €40m this summer. He has broken out this year, with six goals and five assists across 27 La Liga appearances for Villareal so far this season. Another left-footed right-winger with pace that likes to cut in, Chukwueze fits the profile for what Arteta seems to value in his wingers.

His ability as a dribbler is unquestionable, ranking in the 93rd percentile in progressive carries and 99th percentile in successful take-ons for his position. His ability as a passer and defensive contributor are not nearly as impressive, as he ranks below average in both.

His signature won’t be easy to secure, with rumoured interest from Real Madrid boss Florentino Perez. Despite that, look for Arsenal to continue to pursue a player that they’ve been interested in for over six years.
