The Response

The 4-1 loss to Manchester City will no doubt sting, but how Guardiola’s side pounded the Gunners into submission was frightening. It was a blast from the past, as Arteta’s Arsenal hadn’t been rendered rudderless like that for a while.

Picking themselves up after a defeat like that will take some doing, as Arsenal simply wasn’t at it against a rampaging City side.

With five games to go, the Gunners wouldn’t want their season to end without a whimper. They need to keep their foot on the gas until the very end.

We will get a good idea of the mental fortitude of this side against a poor Chelsea outfit.
