Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) – 5.5/10 – Kicked around by several Newcastle players, but certainly wasn’t at his best. Had to be more ruthless with his first-half chance.

Gabriel Jesus (ST) – 6.5/10 – Had a tough job against two Newcastle mountains, and while this wasn’t his cleanest performance, Jesus scrapped around and ensured he was a nuisance throughout.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – 7/10 – So bright, but uncharacteristically lacked ruthlessness in the final third. Did, however, play a major role in Schar’s own goal.

Substitutes

Kieran Tierney – 6.5/10
