Arsenal visits St. James’ Park desperately needing a win to keep pace with Manchester City, who are now four points clear at the summit.

Mikel Arteta’s team will return to the scene of the crime of last year when Newcastle all but ended the Gunners’ dreams of a top-four finish.

Arsenal was outplayed and beaten convincingly by the Magpies and now enter this crucial fixture needing the same result as last year…a win.

Newcastle is a vastly different side from last year and will be up for the clash, but so is Arsenal. The Gunners brushed aside Chelsea 3-1 at the Emirates are seem to have their groove back.

Newcastle vs Arsenal: 3 things to look out for

Here are three things to look for.

1. Does Kiwior start?

The answer to that should be an overwhelming yes. The young defender started in place of Rob Holding against Chelsea and didn’t look out of place.

He was cool, calm, progressive on the ball, and when called upon to make a tackle, he did.
All things being equal, he should be starting the remainder of the league games unless William Saliba is deemed fit.

Starting just your second league game at St. James’ Park is a daunting prospect, but Kiwior will take it in his stride.
