Midfielders

Jorginho (DM) – 6/10 – Wasn’t particularly fond of his performance with the ball, but he was very good without it in the opening period. Read the game well and made life difficult for Alexis Mac Allister.

Granit Xhaka (CM) – 5.5/10 – Helped the Gunners suffocate Brighton at times in the first half by backing up an excellent press, but barely featured with the ball.

Martin Odegaard (CM) – 6/10 – Wanted to take responsibility after the Gunners went behind and played a delightful pass in behind for Leandro Trossard who hit his effort straight at Jason Steele. Only moments for the skipper in this one.
