Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) – 4.5/10 – Enjoyed a couple of bright moments in the first half before fading into obscurity after the restart. Estupinan offered him very little.

Gabriel Jesus (ST) – 6/10 – Had struggled to get into the contest before producing a couple of wonderful hold-up sequences before his rather peculiar substitution. Rarely got a sight of goal.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – N/A – There was a target on his back following a nasty foul on Mitoma, and a Caicedo challenge (that also went unpunished) led to his withdrawal early on.

Substitutes

Leandro Trossard – 4/10 – Spurned a couple of good chances in the first half, and made the error in the build-up which led to Brighton’s second.

Thomas Partey – 4/10

Reiss Nelson – 5/10

Eddie Nketiah – 5/10

Emile Smith Rowe – 5/10
