Reports emerged at the end of the season that Arsenal want to retain Smith Rowe this summer despite his barely featuring throughout 2022/23.
The crafty creative midfielder underwent groin surgery last September and returned at the start of 2023. During the second half of the season, however, he failed to notch a single start and it appeared as if Mikel Arteta had lost faith in the player who, some would argue, saved his job.
