Arsenal’s pre-season tour to the States last summer was nothing short of wholesome.

The fans came in droves to watch Mikel Arteta’s side in action, and the Gunners dazzled as they enjoyed an unbeaten tour. Victories over Everton and Orlando City were followed up by an emphatic 4-0 thumping of Chelsea in the Florida Cup which foreshadowed the fortunes of both London clubs during the 2022/23 season.

Arsenal’s success in pre-season set the stage for a majestic campaign that, until April, looked like would culminate in Premier League glory. A stuttering conclusion, however, meant Manchester City eventually waltzed to their third-straight title.

Nevertheless, with 2022/23 in the books, supporters already have one eye on 2023/24. We’ve approached a serene point in the calendar where not much is really happening ahead of the transfer window opening and players returning for the start of pre-season in July.

The club’s pre-season tour has also been booked, but where are Arsenal heading this summer?

Where are Arsenal going on their 2023 pre-season tour?

That’s right, folks, Arsenal are heading back to the US this summer!

The club confirmed back in March that they’ll be enjoying their second consecutive summer across the Atlantic as part of their preparations for the 2023/24 season.

Arsenal will fly out at some point in mid-July ahead of their first game of the tour against the MLS All-Stars on 19 July in Washington D.C. The All-Stars will be coached by Wayne Rooney, who said: “The opportunity to lead the best our league has to offer against a top Premier League club like Arsenal will be a highlight for me personally and an unforgettable experience for our passionate fanbase here in DC.”

High-profile friendlies against Manchester United and Barcelona then follow, with the Gunners taking on United in New York before they fly across the country to face Barça in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium, home, of course, to Stan Kroenke’s LA Rams.

More friendly encounters are in the works, with Simon Collings reporting on Tuesday that, for the first time ever, the Emirates Cup is set to be played in midweek at the start of August due to the club’s Community Shield commitments. Monaco are reported to be the Gunners’ opponents.
