Arsenal mounted a surprising title challenge in 2022/23, making considerable progress upon their performances during the previous season. 

Although the year ultimately ended in disappointment, there were still remarkable highs throughout the year.

From dominating Brentford away from home to asserting our dominance over Chelsea, it’s time to take a look at Arsenal’s top five games from the 2022/23 campaign.

5. Brentford 0-3 Arsenal

I recently voted our performance against the Bees in this match as our best of the season. However, it only makes number five on this list because the games above it have a bigger story to coincide with the respective performances.

Nevertheless, this was an exceptional match from an Arsenal perspective and one that highlights the progress the team has made under Mikel Arteta this season.

The Gtech Community Stadium is an incredibly difficult place to visit which we discovered the hard way on opening night in 2021. However, this time out, we were able to control the entire game and impose ourselves onto Brentford.

The terrific performance was capped with a sublime long-range strike from Fabio Vieira in what was a statement victory for the rest of the Premier League.
