4 clubs that could sign Thomas Partey this summer
2. Juventus
The second Italian club could be Juventus. While Serie A’s monetary issue has been well-documented, Juve, despite their ongoing legal issues, are probably in the strongest financial situation out of all the Italian clubs.
They could certainly afford Partey. The transfer fee wouldn’t be massive, but he’d demand a hefty wage, I imagine.
Nevertheless, the Bianconeri are bound to reshape their midfield this summer with Leandro Paredes returning to Paris and Arthur Melo’s future unclear. They’ve got a star in Manuel Locatelli and could welcome back Nicolo Rovella to the fold after an impressive 2022/23 campaign with Monza.
Much will depend on the club’s managerial situation as to whether they pursue Partey. If Massimiliano Allegri’s retained, I could envisage them making a play for the Arsenal man, but they could opt for a project manager should Allegri get the boot which would likely rule out the addition of a 30-year-old to a midfield stacked with young talent.
