Arsenal signed Partey from Atletico in 2020 after the Ghanaian established himself as one of Europe’s leading midfielders in the Spanish capital.
Partey dominated time and time again on the big stage, with Diego Simeone describing his former number five as “incredible” after he made the move to north London. There certainly aren’t any hard feelings, and if Partey is on the market this summer, surely a reunion isn’t out of the question?
The 30-year-old has a long history with Atleti and he, too, may well be interested in a reunion. Money shouldn’t be an issue, and Simeone could do with a fresh face or two in midfield. After a sterling end to the 2022/23 campaign, Los Rojiblancos are vying for the La Liga title next season.
