When Havertz suits up for Arsenal on 12 August with Nottingham Forest visiting the Emirates, he will become the 12th German to don the iconic red and white strip.

With the likes of Lee Dixon and Lauren ahead of him in the right-back pecking order, Volz struggled for minutes and only made two appearances in an Arsenal shirt. He enjoyed several loan spells away from the club before eventually signing for Fulham in 2003.
