Well, well, well. What a 24 hours it’s been for Arsenal Football Club. 

The Women have secured the signing of England international Alessio Russo, young gun Ethan Nwaneri has extended his stay in north London, while deals for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber are set to go through to further embolden Mikel Arteta’s blossoming project.

We simply can’t keep up!

The additions of Rice and Timber are set to take the club’s spending this summer comfortably over the £200m mark, and supporters should expect a period of serenity ahead of the US pre-season tour.

Here’s what should be next on Arsenal’s agenda following their early summer spending spree.

1. Secure the futures of William Saliba & Reiss Nelson

Arsenal have done all the hard work on this front, with Saliba and Nelson set to be the next two players to have their contracts extended this year.

Gabriel Martinelli, Aaron Ramsdale, and Bukayo Saka have all committed their long-term futures to the Gunners, with the club reportedly reaching an agreement with Saliba’s camp at the end of the campaign following his superb debut season.

An official announcement is all that’s left on that front, and an announcement of Nelson’s new deal is imminent. The winger enjoyed a bright enough campaign but rarely featured in the Premier League.

However, the club opted to extend Nelson’s contract (by four years) instead of letting him depart on a free transfer.
