2. Crystal Palace

Some of Arsenal’s domestic rivals, including Chelsea and Man Utd, have been tenuously linked with Balogun, but I don’t see the USA international joining either the Blues or the Red Devils.

Mauricio Pochettino may have stumbled upon his new number nine in Nicolas Jackson, while United are prioritising a move for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund. Nevertheless, Balogun could remain in the Premier League with Crystal Palace also said to be interested.

Eddie Nketiah has been linked with a move to Selhurst Park in the past and, for me, this is a move that’d make a lot of sense for all parties involved.

With Wilfried Zaha potentially on the move and Michael Olise out for the start of the season, Palace’s frontline currently looks depleted and they were wholly reliant on their wide men as sources of production. When was the last time the Eagles had a reliable number nine in front of goal?

Balogun could be that guy.
