3. Marseille

Balogun dazzled in the French top flight last term, and he seemingly caught the eye of one of Ligue 1’s big boys. The striker scored in both league fixtures against Marseille, although his side were beaten on each occasion.

Nevertheless, Marseille have been rumoured to be involved in the Balogun sweepstake this summer, but the French giants may find it tough to finance a move. It’s unlikely they’ll come close to Arsenal’s valuation which, admittedly, isn’t clear. It’s reported to be in the region of £40m.

Nevertheless, the French club are said to be keen on partnering Balogun up top with former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, who enjoyed a fine first season in France.

If Marseille can broker a deal, I could see it being a loan with an obligation to buy next summer.
