2. Added motivation

Following Arsenal’s early success before the restart of the league, the motivation that it gives the squad and backroom staff will be extremely beneficial. Arsenal were forced to dig deep for a late equaliser and their subsequent victory on penalties stands them in good stead for the upcoming campaign when the going gets tough.

After lifting the Shield, Arteta and his side will be craving more silverware and winning moments this season. The Gunners’ last notable success came over three years ago when we beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final. Now, Arsenal may go out with more fight and hunger to win these trophies as they start to expand their trophy cabinet.

The win could be a catalyst for an already expanding winning culture.
