3. Emile Smith Rowe

Arteta made it clear at the end of last season that Smith Rowe was going to be in his plans for the current campaign. The midfielder’s 2022/23 was devastated by injury, and he barely featured once he returned to full fitness during the second half of the season.

A fan’s favourite at the Emirates, supporters would love nothing more than to enjoy an ESR resurgence in north London, but his current pathway to regular first-team action looks pretty obscured. The England U21 international hasn’t featured at all in the Premier League this season, and rumours have started to emerge regarding a potential sale.

If Arsenal receive a worthy offer for the Hale End graduate before the end of the window, the Gunners might be inclined to let him go. Several Premier League clubs have been linked, including Chelsea, although there’s a minimal chance the Gunners sell ESR to the Blues.
