3 team selections Mikel Arteta must consider after international break

2) Gabriel’s continued reintegration

William Saliba gets all the praise as one of the best defenders in the world, but Gabriel is certainly a stud himself.

He pretty much made Antony non-existent in the match on the left side and provided plenty of cover when Oleksandr Zinchenko roamed into midfield. Rasmus Højlund came on for Man Utd, but Gabriel relished the physical battle and often came out on top against the young forward. The Brazilians also made the pivotal decision to step up which ultimately caused Alejandro Garnacho to be offside before he slotted home the potential winner.

Yes, Gabriel has some lapses every so often but how could anyone look at last Sunday’s match and think he doesn’t deserve to be in the starting XI, especially for the next two fixtures? Arsenal lost last season at Goodison Park and he most certainly should play against Spurs.
