3) No more Kai Havertz – for now!

It’s only four matches so it’s still technically early, but Havertz is not meshing well with the other players at the moment and is missing huge opportunities. He whiffed on a ball early in the first half against United that would have put the Gunners up.

He also turned the ball over which led to the goal that put the Gunners 1-0 down. He flopped on a penalty that was given and then reversed by VAR. Maybe the international break will help him get his confidence back.

But when everyone returns, Arteta should look at starting Fabio Vieira who also had a nice substitute appearance. With Thomas Partey out until October, that should be looked at. Maybe there’s a way to work Emile Smith Rowe back into the fold, too? But, right now, Havertz seems out of place, indecisive, and lacking confidence.
