3. Reiss Nelson

It’s no secret that Gabriel Martinelli deservedly has first dibs on the left-wing position in Arteta’s lineup. However, Reis Nelson needs to make an appearance in the next game. Arsenal fans don’t see enough of him.

Nelson is what Arteta dreamt of when renaming the substitutes to impacters. Let us not forget the 97th-minute wonder goal he rocketed home against Bournemouth last season. In another crunch-time scenario, this time against United, Reiss won the 50/50 challenge to set up the break for Jesus’ spectacular finish. If not a start, Nelson deserves more minutes off the bench next game and should look to be starting in other competitions outside of the Premier League.

Arsenal’s campaign has not started in the way many fans hoped. Despite accruing ten points from a possible twelve, the opposition and Gooners sense vulnerability in the Arsenal lineup. Pursuing the Premier League remains a palpable goal, but Manchester City remain in front by what feels like more than a margin of two points.
