Arsenal got their Champions League campaign off to a spectacular start, blowing away PSV 4-0 at a raucous Emirates Stadium.

Oh, we back Arsenal fans. After what seemed like an eternity, Arsenal Football Club are back in the big time, and it was like they had never left.

Facing a PSV side that is undefeated in the Eredivisie and had only conceded one goal in four games, Arsenal were all gas and no brakes as Bukayo Saka (of course it was) scored the Gunners’ first Champions League goal in 2,388 days.

From there, the Gunners kept the foot on the throat, and while PSV threatened occasionally, ten minutes later, Leandro Trossard doubled the lead with a sublime first-time shot.

Gabriel Jesus then added a third before half-time as the Emirates was rocking. Captain marvellous Martin Odegaard put the cherry on a splendid cake with what is now becoming a constant theme with an outside-of-the-box goal.

On his Champions League debut, Saka grabbed an opportunistic goal and then set up Trossard ten minutes later in what an outstanding display.

He belongs on the biggest stage, and against PSV, he showed why. World class.
