2. Mounting injuries now a concern

Arsenal went into the game with several players under an injury cloud, as Saliba, Saka, and Rice were all question marks, and with the game done and dusted, Saka was still on the pitch.

And alas, the injury bug struck again as both Saka and Gabriel Jesus succumbed to injuries, with Jesus forced to battle on.

Injuries are what ruined Arsenal’s season last year, and with the Champions League on the schedule, the Gunners can ill-afford injuries to their star players. The next few days will be crucial in deciding if both are fit to face Lens.
