Eddie Nketiah scored his first-ever Arsenal hattrick in the 5-0 rout over Sheffield United and he couldn’t be happier.

Arsenal blew Sheffield United off the pitch in a 5-0 rout at the Emirates, and Eddie Nketiah had a big role in it.

Coming in for the injured Gabriel Jesus, Nketiah, who has had his fair share of criticism over the course of his career, is now slowly starting to show his talent.

His three goals against the Blades had a mixture of everything; a typical “Eddie” poachers goal, a Dennis Bergkamp-like turn and shot, and then a thunderbolt from outside the box.

But how is he feeling after tearing apart the Sheffield United defense?

"“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dreamt of this moment – to get three goals in a Premier League [match],” Nketiah said via arsenal.com. “I’m a childhood supporter of the club, so to do it in front of the fans, my friends, my family and my team-mates is an amazing feeling. It’s a day I’ll remember forever.”"

Nketiah, not known for his ability to strike a ball from distance, as he normally does his best work inside the box, bucked that trend against the Blades.

Emile Smith Rowe picked up the ball, laid it off to Nkeitah, and Arsenal’s No. 14 let fly from distance as Wes Foderingham had no chance to stop it.

As it turns out, Arsenal’s premier poacher has been practicing for such a thing in training.

"“I’ve been practicing a little bit from [long] range in training,” Nketiah said. “Emile [Smith Rowe] passed it to me, I had some space, I took a good strike and it went in.”"

As the saying goes, practice makes perfect and when he had a chance, Nketiah let fly with an unstoppable shot.

The win moves Arsenal into second, level on points with Manchester City after they disposed of Manchester United 3-0.
