Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) – 5.5/10 – Gave Dan Burn something to think about early on, and the winger was once again fouled on numerous occasions. Saka, though, struggled to have a major influence – as has been the case since his hamstring injury.

Eddie Nketiah (ST) – 5/10 – Did okay when the ball arrived at his feet, but I would liked to have seen Nketiah test the Newcastle centre-backs in behind. His threat was pretty tame.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – 5/10 – The Brazilian was full of vigour, and the Gunners turned to him in the closing stages in hope of getting them into the match. However, Martinelli lost the battle with substitute Tino Livramento.

Substitutes

Oleksandr Zinchenko – 6/10

Leandro Trossard – 5/10

Fabio Vieira – 5/10
