Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) – 6.5/10 – A tough night for Saka, who had struggled to work any space down his flank before he teed up Havertz at the death.

Gabriel Jesus (ST) – 5.5/10 – Understandably a little bit off the pace on his return to Premier League action. Often failed to make it stick and was erratic in the Brentford box. First to be withdrawn.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – 5/10 – Frustrated like his wing partner, Martinelli was spritely, but he didn’t win his one-v-one enough and was forced into hit-and-hope crosses.

Substitutes

Eddie Nketiah – 4/10

Kai Havertz – 7/10
