3. This team will never give up

Over the years, almost every Arsenal fan will be able to recount games where it looked as though the team ran out of ideas and simply gave up, settling for whatever the result was at the time. That is the Arsenal of then though, and the current group of players, led by Arteta, are a world away from those days now.

We saw against Brentford, as well as against Man City and Everton, that this group of players simply do not know when they are beaten, and fight with absolutely everything they have until the final whistle. While we can, and will, always critique tactics and individual performances (and rightly so), we absolutely cannot question the mentality of this team.

As we look to win our first league title in almost 20 years, this is the exact mentality we need as, throughout the season, it will win us an untold, and vital number of points – as it already has done.

The saying ‘a title-defining result’ is often banded about, and it rarely references a dominant display, and more so a hard-fought enduring result with just a single goal in the game – which is exactly what we saw against Brentford.
