Having enjoyed a great season due to his defensive brilliance, Jurrien Timber came up against a worthy adversary in the form of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and unfortunately failed to come out on top.

The Dutchman struggled from the off as he allowed PSG's star winger space on the left to cut inside before playing it to Dembele, who fired in the eventual winner. Kvaratskhelia continued to run Timber ragged and it wasn't until the second half that he managed to improve slightly.

Timber's constant requirement to keep up with his Georgian opposite also prevented him from making his usual frequent runs down the flank, meaning he failed to have the same attacking involvement he often does. His struggles were summed up when he was withdrawn with injury in the final minutes, bringing an end to a poor and uncharacteristic performance.
