Arsenal lost the Champions League in the most gut-wrenching way imaginable, on penalties.

Despite losing on penalties, Arsenal played with heart, and they kept their fitness levels right to the very end.

Arsenal had some injuries heading into this game, but nobody cut them any slack before kick-off. They took the champions through to penalties, and in truth, had Arsenal won, nobody would be disputing their worth as champions.

When it mattered most, it wasn't to be for Arsenal. However, PSG deserved to win it, but certain Arsenal players got their worth out of being in the final.

Cristhian Mosquera

Yes, he conceded the penalty that drew PSG level, but that was his only mistake.

Heading into this game, it would have been easy for PSG to target Arsenal's right side of defence, and they did. However, Cristhian Mosquera put in his best performance in an Arsenal shirt. He completely isolated and nullified Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

This is Mosquera's first season in an Arsenal shirt, and when he was signed, absolutely nobody would have predicted he'd be playing in the Champions League final. Yet there he was, and he was one of Arsenal's standout players.

Gabriel Magalhaes

The reason why Arsenal were able to go to penalties is Gabriel. He didn't score the decisive penalty, but other than that one isolated moment, Gabriel was frankly phenomenal.

With the most defensive contributions on the pitch (15), Gabriel ensured that the Gunners didn't concede a single goal from open play. We knew he'd be up for it, and he was.

Gabriel is an Arsenal legend. That penalty miss doesn't counteract that. How he picks himself up, which he will, is going to prove it.

David Raya

David Raya had one nervy moment in the 85th minute when he hesitated coming out, but he made the right decision in the end, sweeping the ball from Bradley Barcola.

He also kept Arsenal in the game in the penalty shootout, preventing a penalty from PSG and making amends for Eberechi Eze's missed penalty.

David Raya has had a great journey in English football. A decade ago, nobody except him knew that he would be in a Champions League final.

Raya didn't concede a goal from open play in the Champions League final. That has to count for something. Unfortunately, the game went in a way that didn't play into his strengths in the end, but he did everything in his power to keep the Gunners in the game.

David Raya, like the two other players listed here, is already an Arsenal legend.
