2. Arsenal 3-2 Liverpool (October 2022)
Sitting top of the Premier League table, Arsenal took on a struggling Liverpool in matchday ten of the 2022-23 season and ran out 3-2 victors.
A lightning-fast start saw Gabriel Martinelli put his side in the lead inside the opening minute, only for Luis Diaz to equalise soon after. Bukayo Saka restored the Gunners' advantage on the stroke of half-time before Roberto Firmino leveled it up once again early in the second half. Determined to secure the victory, Arsenal won a penalty late on, and Saka converted to win the game for Arteta's side.
The victory extended the Gunners' lead at the top of the league table and cemented them as genuine title contenders after plenty of doubt from fans and the media. This was Arteta's first league victory over Liverpool in over two years and it displayed how he had taken Arsenal from being a side that was inferior to the Reds to one that could easily match their quality.
