Matched up in the quarter-finals, Arsenal took on Manchester United at Old Trafford on route to securing their second consecutive FA Cup title.
Nacho Monreal opened the scoring for the Gunners after he crept into space on the left side of the box to then beat David de Gea at his near post. The celebrations were short lived however when Wayne Rooney headed in an equaliser minutes later.
Returning to his boyhood club having made the move to North London in the previous summer, Danny Welbeck marked his Old Trafford homecoming with the winning goal. 'Dat Guy Welbz' pounced on a loose back pass to round de Gea and tap into an empty net. His goal put Arsenal into the semi-finals of the FA Cup and also marked their first victory at Old Trafford since September 2006.
