With another new year soon here, Arsenal will have the opportunity to sign a number of European prospects that have expiring contracts in 2025.
The Gunners are not known for signing free agents, instead opting to splash the cash on big names in each transfer window but they are presented with a chance to sign some excellent players for nothing next year.
There are three specific players who will be free agents at the end of the 2024-25 season that Arsenal could sign.
1. Joshua Kimmich
Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich could be a potential target for Arsenal in 2025 with his contract set to expire at the end of the current season.
Reports suggest the midfielder is yet to make a decision regarding his future in Bavaria and this may work in the Gunners' favour. With Arsenal free to negotitate with the Germany captain from January, there is an excellent chance they can convince Kimmich to join at the end of the season.
Not only would Kimmich be an excellent all-round addition to the squad, he would also prove to be a good replacement for Thomas Partey. It seems the Ghanaian will be leaving the club upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the campaign but the perfect replacement could be found in Joshua Kimmich.
