Three goals, a clean sheet and safe passage into the quarter-finals; it does not get much better than that.

The boss could hardly ask for more and he even got the chance to manage some minutes ahead of a tricky visit to Tyneside on Saturday while, unlike our rivals, we emerged from Deepdale without any further injury concerns.

After hard-fought wins over Southampton and Leicester, it was nice to claim a straightforward victory as expected and Arsenal can start to believe that they will go all the way in this competition, even if eyes will remain on the bigger prizes.

Never turn your nose up at a trophy!
