Positive #2: Set piece brilliance on show

Anyone sick of hearing about set pieces? Well, the Arsenal players and fans certainly aren't as they profited from yet another against Fulham.

The Gunners' equaliser came from a corner as Kai Havertz headed down Declan Rice's delivery for William Saliba to tap in from close range. Mikel Arteta's side had another great chance from a corner but Thomas Partey could not replicate his French teammate.

The draw at Fulham saw Arsenal become the first team in Europe's top five leagues to create more than ten big chances from set pieces so far this season. Saliba's goal was his side's 23rd from a corner since the start of last campaign. Nicolas Jover has certainly done a sensational job for the Gunners.

Negative #2: Too reliant on set pieces

Their brilliance from dead ball situations may have been on display once again at the Cottage but it didn't all pay off for Arsenal.

They looked to have reverted to their pre-Odegaard return tactics against Fulham with Mikel Arteta's side seeming to rely on set pieces for their best chances. The skipper's return put the Gunners back on track as one of the most creative sides in the Premier League but that was not the case on Sunday.

The Gunners had an xG of 2.00 but taking away set pieces brings that right down to 0.30. Considering their dominance and overall talent in midfield and attack, that is far too low for a top side.

Set pieces won't always bring you goals, no matter how incredible you are taking and converting them. Arsenal learned that against Fulham. It could be time to question if Nicolas Jover is maybe having a bit too much influence on how the Gunners play.
