3 positives & negatives from Arsenal's hard-fought draw at Fulham
- Gunners held to 1-1 draw by Fulham
- A dominant display but lacked clinicality
- Brilliant set pieces but maybe too reliant
Positive #3: Plenty of pressure
To go along with their dominance on the ball, Arsenal made sure Fulham felt plenty of pressure when they were out of possession.
The Gunners did well to win the ball back on several occasions as they put the hosts under the cosh for the majority of the 90 minutes. The Cottagers were limited to just two shots and were only allowed to make 71 passes in the Gunners' half.
It was a good showing from Arsenal as they did their best to restrict their hosts to very little on Sunday afternoon. Their desperation to put the pressure on will bring about questions regarding how they managed to concede first and fail to win however.
Negative #3: Cut open easily
Arsenal may have dominated the game but they were cut open far too easily when Fulham were on the attack.
Raul Jimenez managed to get past Jakub Kiwior far too easily to get on the end of Kenny Tete's through ball before slotting it past David Raya into the bottom corner to put the hosts ahead.
The Gunners could've done better to hold off the Cottagers considering how little chances they had. Missing Gabriel did not help Arsenal at all as Kiwior was very much off the pace at Craven Cottage. It'll be something for the Pole to work on should he continue in the side with his Brazilian teammate still out injured.
