Positive #3: Solid at the back

Chelsea may have had plenty of chances, but Arsenal were defensively solid for the most part on Sunday evening. William Saliba and David Raya stood out from their fellow defenders.

Saliba did well to deal with the trickery of Cole Palmer and put up a good fight when competing with the Blues' attackers. Raya also operated well as a sweeper keeper at times. The Spaniard was quick to come out and clear when the hosts launched passes over the top.

It was certainly a bit more of a positive performance in defence for Arsenal compared to recent Premier League games despite the sequence which led to Pedro Neto's equaliser.

Negative #3: Two key injuries

The draw at Chelsea saw both Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice taken off due to injury, much to the worries of Arsenal fans.

Rice was reported to be managing a broken toe heading into the game and playing against the Blues does not seem to have done him any favours as he had to be substituted midway through the second half. Saka went down after a challenge by Marc Cucurella and was immediately withdrawn.

Both being injured will come as a big blow. Mikel Arteta voiced his concerns after the match that neither is likely to be available to play for England in the upcoming international break. The only positive is that the pair are likely to withdraw from the Three Lions squad in order to recover over the next two weeks.
